I couldn't stop laughing as this song played while Walt rolled that barrel in this desert. I've been saying it, but this show makes better use of music than any TV show ever.

Still, I think you HAVE to put Krazy 8 in the top 5. The build-up to that kill, plus its status of being the "original sin" can't be ignored.

Yeah, because the whole source of Walt's inferiority complex, the reason he lost his fortune and eventually became Heisenberg to compensate for his failure as a man and a chemist, isn't like IMPORTANT or anything.

It was to show how much Hank meant to him. The character had to be willing to give that money up to give weight to his decision to deny Saul's ideas.

Yeah, thinking it through he would not want to give up the cash, but that was family. In his opinion he had to risk the money to save his family.

Walt tried to save Hank and in turn saved Skyler and Walt Jr with that phone call. It's a case of how much is family really worth and in the case of Walt all of his family was worth more than 80 million that he worked his ass off to get them secure. I am sure a character like that probably has the idea that in his mind he can set up another operation out of a van, cook and sell as much as he can before he dies to secure them with a couple of million again.

How long did it take for Walt to get to 80 Million? Wasn't long, maybe @hexagram23 knows the answer to that.

didn't take long at all. but that was when he had the connect to lydia and a tanker of methlaymine. he dont have none of these things now. that $10M is gonna have to last him for the rest of his life.

smart move of him to call dude to get him a new identity. just to think, all of this could have been avoided if jesse wasn't so bytchmade. without jesse, hank wouldn't have had shyt on walt.

I get the reasoning. To me though, Jane needs to be top 5 because she's an innocent (although a junkie) girl in the grand scheme, and Walt clearly went through the "let me save this girl" to "this obstacle is removed" in the span of seconds. And the fact that he opened up with Jane's dad added to the weight of that...for me.

Also, for whatever reason, Mike's death didn't have the impact...to ME...that the others did.

Edit: Although in hindsight, I guess Jane wasn't THAT innocent...she did try to blackmail Walt

Dude, he used to fukk the bytch, they, along with another scientist conceptualized an idea. He had a baby on the way, was hurting for money and sold his share. Idea turned into an empire, Gretchen and other dude start fukking. They turn into billionaires while Walt's a chemist. What's left to tie up?
