Alita: Battle Angel (First Trailer)

Saw it, I thought it was cool, didn't enjoy it as much as the dude sitting next to me, he gave it a standing ovation. I know nothing about the manga or anime.

Alita doesn't have a story that is about say good vs evil or 1 person vs another. It's written in sequential arcs that is pretty much about her growing up in her new life. She's lost her memory but the story isn't about regaining her memory, so it's hard for them to just make a trailer showing you "pretty much" what the story is about. There's romance, lots of action, a girl finding her way, and a lot about how the world affects her. Likely that the movie won't convery all of this as well as the manga, so I will likely watch the cam footage.

I really liked this movie. I'm not really focused on reviews that much or anything but I'll keep it simple I guess

If you've watched any anime before - this dialogue's cheese will be firmly within that window
Alita herself is really, really hard to hate on. You can't help but end up on her side for stuff that comes up.
The action is dope.
There will be scenes that look amazing one minute then not even 10 seconds later it'll look like shyt

But fukk all of the extra stuff... I liked this movie a lot. And its made me pick up the manga to finish it all up.

Really enjoyed it and that's all I ask out of movies

I fukking loved this movie! Idk shyt about the franchise but i thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Great action. Yeah, pacing was a bit rushed but i hope theres an uncut version.

Rotten Tomatoes ain't shyt for this. Those so-called "harsh" reviews got the movie split down the middle. They really trying to sell the idea that if you don't get 90% or higher, your movie is automatic trash.

saw this today and i really enjoyed it. i'll even say i loved it. i knew it was based on a manga but didn't know shyt about the manga.

the story kept me interested and the action and cgi was really good but i saw it in IMAX 3D so not surprised. i'm gonna pick the manga up and maybe catch the movie again.

I personally didn't have all that high expectations, but this was probably my biggest sci-fi surprise movie since Edge Of Tomorrow
