Snoh is running laps all of these hoes.

Between her album & Kiana Lede, those were great albums by women.
That Kiana lede album is basic as fukk, fits right in with the basic female lane summer walker and khelani carved out. Nothing wrong with basic bytches, but that album ain’t no where in the stratosphere of snoh’s album

Ehh idk about that. She definitely proved a lot for herself and showed growth. Snoh is still at the top out of all of them tho. The only female album that bored me was jhene.

Wouldn’t say Summer & kehlani are basic.

Snoh dropped a bomb on us, none of her contemporaries are competing. Still need to check out Kiana's project. I like her voice but she still strikes me as "new girl making what's in"

Haven't completely dove into this with a focused mind but so far it's her best album. Only song i don't like is that Smino shyt.

That's Snoh's second album and tbh Sabrina Claudio still has her beat. About Time and Truth is both better.

Who was the originator of this style where all these chicks sound the same and sing in the same tone track after track?

You just really just love breathy whispery vocals. Sabrina’s song lyrics, voice and overall production aren’t touching snoh’s. Sabrina is such a narrow artist to me, she has some cuts but wow, y’all are overrating her

Yh I know most of those artists but it seems there’s a non black soul singer nearly every day posted on here, not that it’s a bad thing particularly as I love Snoh Alegras music for example just wondering, I remember a time when there was only a few like Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone, now it almost seems like there are just as many as black female singers?

Are black females choosing to rap or go the Summer Walker lane more and more, or maybe I’m just not paying attention?

I just named more black women than these chicks, plus I could go a tier down into black (well mixed because they all seem to be) women making r&b or soul. The same five white girls are always discussed and end up being discussed together in a thread about any of them, it’s not like the booth has posted 20 white chicks doing black music, it’s mainly Sabrina, Alina, snoh and kali uchis

Plus this Janine woman, you see I even forgot about Kali Uchis, these artists are the biggest artists in the genre right now, just check their views, it’s just something I’ve been noticing ever more recently, there’s a time I could name Jill Scott Angie Stone Erykah Badu India Arie Lauryn Hill Amel
Laurrieux Goapele Ledisi without thinking I just think the number of black women souk singers are even dying down or being pushed to the back burners?
