Not gonna call a man a liar but you didn't get any credit on CG then you still in tune with the Nellyville sessions and Grillz was your concept and idea and you still didn't get no right pay from it? :patrice:

It just looks funny in the light that's all :manny:

Woooooow

Based on the level of detail he gave, I think breh is telling the truth. At the very least partial truth.

He explained Nelly's writing style and gave him credit so he didn't call him trash or nothing like that.

And it makes sense that they all had a hand in those songs. For Nelly to just come out the woodworks writing fire single after single after single like that, it makes more sense now

So why couldn’t he recreate the magic on his OWN projects?

Neyo, R.Kelly, Nas, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, T.I., Andre 3K, GZA, Kid Cudi, Will I Am, Kendrick Lamar, and a host of others have all written chart topping songs for others as WELL as themselves.

Hell even somebody like Cyhi The Prince, who never blew up because of his own label issues is at least known and respected as a lyricist in his own right in addition to writing hits for others. Ali isn’t even acknowledged on THAT level.

A step below might be Skyzoo, who is a known ghostwriter for others but still has managed to carve out a respectable career as a critically acclaimed underground MC with a solid fanbase. Ali isn’t even on THAT level.

So if these old ass bitter dudes who served as weed carriers for the next man were so talented and integral to that next man’s success have ZERO supplementary evidence to back up they’re claims i have no idea why they are given platforms with which to spout their bullshyt. Nelly went onto a multiplatinum career chalk full of hits that outperformed Country Grammar while Ali couldn’t even drop a fire mixtape? Hell Chingy has a better discography than Ali. CHINGY

Thats a good point. What is he expecting to gain from this? Nelly isnt Nas. Or Jay. Basically someone praised for his lyricism. And after 23 yrs? Its pointless. Cuz he's not gonna be able to do much with this.

Let him tell his story.

You cats are always dismissive and lowkey mad when someone who's not a superstar is telling his story.

I don't believe he wrote everything..

But I believe Nelly was a collaborative effort

He was surrounded by people who could give him ideas etc that he could execute at a level they couldn't...

So basically I'm sure there were songs that Nelly did that were pieced together by him and others..
