Interesting. I thought that was only among your people. As in, Jews don't charge Jews predatory rates and Muslims don't charge Muslims predatory rates. But if you're outside, then everyone else can get it.
that is true. buuuut. that bible is extended to Christians, which means anyone of any nationality or race can become a believer in the son of God and the fact that he died for your sins and rose from the dead. if you're on that wave, then you get the same treatment. and since the founding fathers were on that christian wave(different denominations) that means everyone should be afforded the same 7 year rule unless they are foreigners(are not US citizens.)

Would that even matter? As long as they were Christians, it wouldn't matter what country they came from. They'd be afforded the same lending rules.

TBH I don't think it even matters if they're Christians, or Americans, or anything.

Jesus taught that "Love your neighbor as yourself" extends to everyone, even your enemies. His specific example of the Good Samaritan involved someone who was from a different religion AND nation. So I'm fairly certain that under Jesus's ethics, predatory interest is no longer allowable to anyone, not even your enemies, no matter which faith or nation they come from.

predatory interest i agree. i was talking about that specific 7 year fall off rule. but you're right about that. jesus would not be working at the check advance spot charging 500% on the dollar. he would not be at the shady corner car dealership charging some single mama 25% on her car note.

I agree. But I don't think Jesus would be giving the good rates to enemies and foreigners either. :usure:

I was using "predatory" as a descriptor, not a qualifier. All textual evidence is that the Bible considers ANY level of interest to be predatory.

But even if you only think interest above a certain % is predatory, even basic credit cards definitely qualify.

Can you clarify what you mean by this?

Good rates - 1 - 5%
Regular rates - 6 - 12%
Predatory rates - 20% -

Jesus ain't giving Romans and Canaanites 1 to 5%

I'm pretty damn sure, reading all the texts, that Jesus would have loaned that shyt interest-free if he would have even asked for the money back at all. :yeshrug:

He broke bread and wine for the poor. We know why. He cured the centurion's kid because the centurion knew what time it was and prompt with the faith. The rest of them jokers would get fair rates and expect to pay their bills on time. See you in 7 years and keep your credit score above 700, patna.

A town hall AOC had in her home district. I think she handled that with a poise and calmness you don't see with the current President.

The video is dope because the guy in the back with the emotions on his sleeve.
