Alex Smith trying discredit Cam Newtons rookie season

Alex Smith was shielded by a coach's system that no one had seen before.

The bootleg passes and such only work for so long. Sanchez was forced to become strictly a drop back guy last year and he couldnt do it. The misdirection passes the Niners ran a lot of last season teams will eventually catch up to.

I don't care about those sites, I use the eye test. You wasn't using it to aid your opinion, you let football outsiders form your opinion. Alex Smith is average quarterback who couldn't complete a third down against the Giants.

lol I watched ever Cam game last season, he was my fantasy QB...I thought he was slightly overrated...and a lot of his rushing TD's were on the goal line that could have been either Stewart's or Williams.

He's big and strong, which you cant teach and will develop as a passer. The only young QB I'd take over him is Stafford....but do I think he's the next super star QB? No, not yet....

At least I was wise enough to scoop him up in fantasy after Week 1.

Stevie Johnson was the only receiver to do anything on him.

Profootball focus, a better site, showed that Revis was just as good throughout the season. Plus...I saw it. I use my own eyes.
