I do kinda feel sorry for him. He seems like a good dude who worked hard to get to where he was despite a limited skillset (compared to elite QBs). He only lost the job because he was unfortunate to get hurt.

the problem here is he wasnt doing that well. those stats are a mirage.
godawful against giants and seahawks, as well as vikes. just terrible.
the only good game against respectable competition was the packers game. everywhere else the D held him down.
he was doing much better last year and coming back in games, this year not so much
check this, in all Niner wins under alex this year, they werent ever down by more than 3 pts.
