The Mrs & I watched this all last nigh. Was feeling it up until the last episode because the writing was so telegraphed that we called everything that was gonna happen after the first five minutes.

Season two has potential but the writing needs to be tighter because I felt it was letting down the good performance from Aldis Hodge.

Side bar, the soundtrack for this show made no sense at all. A tense suspenseful scene could just happen and it’s weirdly followed up by some generic sounding rap song. Both of us were like “WTF? :mjlol:” on several occasions

That's one of the issues of shooting back to back seasons. No chance the writing will improve from S1 if there are any issues.

One thing I hated though:
Episode 5 spoilers

When Shannon breaks free, why the fukk didnt she hit Ed over the head with the wine bottle? She was behind him and couldve easily knocked him out and ran(or knocked him out and cut his throat). But she lets him turn around, she breaks wine bottle on the counter to use the piece to cut. If that was the goal why not break the bottle before he gets there so you already have the cutting pieces in your hand. I know "tv shyt" and all, but still annoying as hell :francis:

Ahh, I didn’t know they‘ve shot season two already. Gotta temper my expectations now :beli:

Episode 5 is when the problems starting kicking in for me too. When

Shannon broke free and was at the door in front. She barely tried to escape. Considering people were walking around the house, if she made more noise, someone else would have heard.

Also, the fact that Alex and Elle stayed after he told her about Ed being Fanboy made no sense. A normal black woman is saying “Take me home now!” :heh:

playing X gon give it to ya after that scene is wild as fukk. shyt threw me for a loop and had me stuck. I couldnt even focus on the fight afterwards cuz I was like how they play this song after that was revealed :gucci:

Like they couldve played nothing and it wouldve been better
