Ppl must like this because they serve up everything on a platter in the first 2 episodes. There's no mystery in this shyt, no who done it.....they give it to you with fruity montages and weird DC shea butter vibes

Not every serial killer/murder show has to have mystery in "whodunit". There are decent shows where they reveal the killer at the start and the story is in how the detective connects the dot and gets the killer. This is one of those decent shows to me. One of the GOAT shows, Columbo, shows the killer and how they did it at the start of every episode/case(Legit the first 5-10min are the viewers seeing the murder happen and who does it). We then follow columbo as he pieces together the clues to get the killer. Hell some episodes Columbo confronts the killer before he is charged and the killer taunts Columbo thinking they smarter/will get away with the crime. Poker Face, one of my top tv shows from last year, did the same and it worked(uses Columbo as inspiration). You also get a lil of the "whodunit" with Cross and side story with his family. Both his wife's murder and who is messing with his family. From the way it ended, Maria's death is still a mystery and it seems like whoever killed her was working with the ppl harrassing his family.

If you only looking for a "whodunit" as the main draw, then yea, this show isnt for you.

I mostly fukk with the casting, but the script is terrible. You're right tho, tapped out at episode 2. shyt is just too corny....

you're also comparing this to a damn near 60 year old show. I'm good

Aight

I used that as an example because you acted like the "whodunit" is the be all end of all of a show. Columbo being one of the goats and revealing who did it at the start of the episode proves that statement from you wrong. I also used an example from last year in Poker Face.

That show was on a few top shows list of 2023.

Has potential. Aldis is a good actor, the family interaction stuff is dope, but the detective part of this show is bootleg AF. u can see the "plot twists" coming a mile away. the music choices are terrible. i'm legit :dead: @ X gon give it to ya

and why all the women outside of granny annoying AF

I watched the first couple of episodes, and this is just okay. It has a generic feel, with no individualized flair. Even the music is questionable. This would've played better with either a 70's soul soundtrack, or a 90's R&B vibe. It's too stiff, and there's not enough for Aldis to play against...even though Old Spice dude is okay, there's not enough of him.

The actors/acting is carrying bad writing imo. With that said it's an ok show. Nothing would remember after watching but I like Aldis Hodges a lot as an actor.
