It didnt bother me at all and I caught the theme and story immediately ( Life, sin and facing your mistakes even in death) . IMO the best concept album to be released in 12+ years (No I didnt forget Kendrick) and possibly all time (yes I went there). The sad thing is Kno told me they didnt make a dime off the album. It would've cost them 3 million to clear all the samples.
What the fukk? So the album is on sale only to pay of the samples?

This shyt is a fukking classic. Oh my :wow:

This is how u make a classic rap album

did u just hear this for the first time? man i would love to be able to hear this album again for the first time. i'm kind of upset with myself for listening to the advance copy first because it had those annoying anti piracy tags all over it which took away from the vibe of the album.

album is still 100 percent classic to me and probably the most flawlessly executed concept album ever done in hiphop

Nah dude. I've had this album for years and frequently listen to it. This album is honestly perfection and one of the greatest rap album of all time. Is that correct? Should it be greatest rap albums of all time? I always get it mixed up.

So I’m on paternal leave and me and my wife have been watching the murder mystery show Cold Case. Each episode the murder takes place at a certain time period and the music reflects that. There was this episode based in the 30s. A song played and I recognized the sample right away that was used in “Hourglass”. I was geeked to play it for my wife to prove I heard the song used in a rap song. Random shyt like that is why I love the genre.
