what do you think of the biblical references? do you think it puts it over the top because it's hard to make an album like that, or do u think it's pretentious? obviously i lean towards the latter, even though i'm an atheist, but just wonderin

It didnt bother me at all and I caught the theme and story immediately ( Life, sin and facing your mistakes even in death) . IMO the best concept album to be released in 12+ years (No I didnt forget Kendrick) and possibly all time (yes I went there). The sad thing is Kno told me they didnt make a dime off the album. It would've cost them 3 million to clear all the samples.

agreed on all points. i didn't quite understand it all when i first heard it, but after repeat listenings it all sunk in. i can't think of a more ambitious, cohesive album since. period.


and i remember reading about that label situation some time ago. didn't that one label fukk them outta some money plus the samples didn't clear? so it became an even bigger situation? i pre-ordered this album and got the autographed version. pretty happy about that as i know it'll be worth a lil bit in some time

i love these nikkas. first album i listened to buy them. that and the next one whose name escapes me right now with the kkky song are my favorite. their new one about dreams was dope too.
