I see it as buying a couch from furniture store and being a boss a boss at the furniture store and hiring people to make a certain couch under your direction.

That is what a producer does, but he’s also a beat maker also known as producer to the youth, however not on most tracks.

You should read what producers say about Kanye and Dre. Same reason to why these kids hail this dude is cause the new sounds, ways of making music etc comes out under his name. Whereas a lot of these producers do mad shyt but it’s not as John Blaze. That’s specially the case with Kanye and Dre. Not implying that he’s anywhere near, but they are the most known producers who doesn’t make the beat producers in rap.
