The people most hype about Starfield on this site were the Sony Stans that became scorn lovers when it went exclusive.

Now they acting like everyone else were the ones making threads about the game non stop. Months later they still can't stop making threads about it.

I can fire off other games that reviewed at or around Starfield level that when a GOTY list comes out and they aren't on there nobody is really saying shyt about them. Starfield gets a mention in this thread's title yet Armored Core VI and Octopath Traveler II reviewed at or around the mid 80s and nobody is mentioning them for every GOTY list they miss.

The only reason people keep bringing up Starfield is because it was a hyped up Xbox console exclusive. It's certainly not off the merits of it as a game. The discourse around this game is so disingenuous.

You just claimed starfield doesn’t have any “prestige” cause of its metacritc score, but you got Cyberpunk and Genshin up there. Two games NO ONE woulda called “prestigious” until it was time for an agenda.

Prior years plenty of games in the mid 80s were called great and prestigious masterpieces. Hell Spiderman scores at Starfield levels till the last game, and people can’t get enough of those games.

Spider-man 2 is a 91 on OC, Starfiled 85. So you telling me 6 points turns a game from “prestigious” to not?

Those 6 points could be gained, loss on a whim depending on who reviews the games, when and for which website, platform.

Here on the Coli we have a years long ongoing thread called “resetera some fakkits” where people just stop in to say how shytty those peoples opinions are and how stupid they are.

But when it’s an opinion dudes want to agree with, those same peoples opinions become gold, and the billions of other gamers who want nothing to do with any of this are shunned and told their opinions are shyt.

If you don’t understand that the barrier between an 8 and a 9 level game is real and that when someone score a game in the 8s vs 9s it means something then me breaking that down is a waste of words. Even if it’s an 89 vs a 90 that 89 was done deliberately to make commentary on the game that it’s not at a 9 level.
