I was just not enjoying Alan’s parts at that point cause everything seemed super random. I appreciated it more after I finished sagas section and realized it was Tor and Odin summoning him
All in all I highly enjoyed the narrative and what they were doing with some of the gameplay ideas. It’s the actual gameplay itself I mark a lot of points off for. I don’t think the movement speed is conducive to how open the environments are. I wanted to backtrack after I got the bolt cutters and decided against it cause it takes so long to traverse the map.
The actual combat just did t click for me either. Much more with Alan’s sections than sagas. I just didn’t like the taken much and their shadow bombs. Just seemed so random and janky.
But again I loved how it all came together at the end and I can see why people love the game but I can’t see myself wanting to replay this ever

Not looking for spoilers or nothing but I absolutley hate this fukking find the screwdriver area. shytty fukking map layouts absolutely ruin games for me.

This is honestly one of the craziest games I've ever played. Its a masterpiece IMO
There are a few cheap sections, and overall with the exception of the one part I'm sure everyone will remember, Alan's sections were a bit annoying where as Saga's were much more engaging
This will be one of those games I'll think about for a long time, but probably never replay lol

This trash ass game is about to see my recycle bin. I finally got out of the tunnel now I have to listen to a musical in a hotel where I have to slip in and out of the dark place to get around....

its nothing like the first game. I just played the first game last week. It was an action horror. this is a survival horror, a bad one at that.
You're right, but they were pretty clear about that in the marketing leading up to release. That sequence was sorta them paying homage to the first one within the new story. Sorry you ain't enjoying it...
Nah, if it isn’t for you it is what it is but that doesn’t make it a bad survival horror, it’s the best one I played in a long time

What are some survival horror games that have released lately? Feel like the genre is pretty much on life support
RE4R kinda brought it back in the forefront.
I think Dead Space fits more than RE4, I said it earlier in this thread but it’s hard to categorise RE4 as survival horror compared to playing this, with the stockpiles of bullets, grenades and roundhouses ect
