Y'all are so weird. This fight, much like the MTX shyt, was decided years ago and we lost. Most modern disc games don't even include the full game anyway and that's not including patches. Y'all think putting discs into your ps5 15 years from now they're gonna work? Without an internet connection? You haven't really "owned" these games since the PS2 generation. Get over it or find a new hobby.

This is an easily skewed number when PC games and mobile games are in the former, primarily digital and mobile games are 100% digital. Covid exacerbated this percentile breakdown. This is Epic's doing and Remedy has to toe the line to get people to the Epic game store.

When it comes specifically to console gaming, around 72% of all game sales were digital downloads, with only the remained 28% accounting for physical releases. This continues a trend we have witnessed for many years now, with each consecutive year seeing more and more customers opting for digital game purchases over boxed copies. Again, this figure does not include Nintendo Switch software, which represents perhaps the last real bastion of high-street retail gaming purchases.

30% of anything is a lot of potentially miss out on. Now, of course all 30% won't potentially abstain from getting the game but on principle, I won't. These motherfukkers don't put instruction manuals or maps in games any longer so I don't buy their 'we are on gaming welfare' shenanigans. It's absurd rationale.
