he might be too picky with his roles

Jamie Foxx won an Oscar with Ray and then immeitialy went back to making shytty movies to pay the bills

sometimes u gotta sacrifice ur artistic integrity, swallow ur pride (and probably some execs nutt, pause) and do bottom of the barrel crap to pay the bills

stop being choosey nikka and take that b movie role

Sounds about white.

The problem is that you could conceivably pump out a movie about this character without any fuss. It's not going to be good, but at least it will be self-contained and--most importantly--cheap. Disney can strike while the iron is hot--or warm.

You can't do an Aladdin spinoff movie like this. You're not going to get Will for something like this, and Aladdin is useless without the genie. You can cast a replacement genie, but even that's going to cost a lot of CGI money. You put a solo Aladdin in a movie, and no one's going to give a fukk. With this guy, there's maybe a half-dozen people that will give a fukk, but that's a half-dozen more than a solo Aladdin movie.

No he didn't. And before you even hit "Post Reply," check Gemini Man's performance.
Will Smith and Naomi Scott carried that movie. Nothing else about it was memorable. That being said many of those Disney Live action movies made a billion or like The Jungle Book came damn close.

The animated version did a great job of making Aladdin cool and charismatic, and had us invested in his friendships with Genie, Abu, and Carpet.

Live-action version did less-so, felt like they shat on him more, and even omitted his defining "kick ass hero" moment from the animated film (no epic fight with sorcerer/cobra Jafar).

Just compare the subtle differences of "Never Had a Friend Like Me" from the original. Will Smith genie couldn't be bothered to remember that nygga's name and made it a running gag.

The movie was all about leaning on Will Smith (understandable) and setting Naomi up for some future $$$ bags.

Yo, that's smack on the face. Prince Ander had no significant role in the Aladdin film. His part in the movie was a filler and very short. :deadmanny:
Going to be cheap as fukk to make with a character that won't be needed for the sequel. The brand is strong enough for people to check out the first few episodes and stay if the show is actually decent.
