I'm sorry, can someone explain this? Its saying that the person that broke in is liable, because the in-vitro embryos are humans that have rights, right? I'm not getting the connection on how this affects families of that use in-vitro fertilization. Or is it because they're using the bible verse to make the ruling?

This story has a whole lot of bullshyt in it. So eggs were lost in when a clinic was robbed and they filed a wrongful theft suit? :francis: My conspiracy theorist hat is on. But I don't wonder how this will impact science like stem cell research.

I think the problem is that the clinics destroy embryos a lot. IVF isn’t a one and done process.

So they, by this law, are killing kids.

*Puts on conspiracy hat*

There are a bunch of Christians that hate IVF

I think the real objective here is to effectively eliminate IVF clinics in the state of Alabama by making it impossible to run an IVF clinic as a business.

Pre roe vs Wade, red states would make it financially unviable to run a in abortion clinic.

My tin foil hat worked this time.

This is the intended effect of the ruling.

Christian judges may get an extra assist from the supreme court depending on how the Chevron deference case goes. They may even find a way to ban birth control as well.
This was always the goal. People said from the jump that this wasn't going to stop at abortion but we were told we were fear mongering.
