Mike Tyson had the internet going nuts, Mike Tyson had one of the biggest events in all sports this year.

ALSO Mike Tyson

Jay Z can shine on a verse here or there just like Tyson can knock anyone out with one punch. Now there’s a reason why Jay hasn’t released a whole album in about 7 years. 4:44 wasn’t one of the biggest “Cultural moments” back then.

This is true, but old nikkas aren't supposed to be the ones having "cultural moments" anyway.

I can't name one nikka close to 50 years old or above that moved any sort of needle in hip-hop. And that's ok.

Akademiks does not have a line on anyone's in Hov's inner circle, which is why he can post a tweet saying Jay Ziddy.

I honestly believe it bothers him that Hov or TDE don't fukk with him.

444 was one of the biggest albums of 2017. Only Drake and Dot had bigger albums. 444 going double platinum in year 21 is unheard of for a rapper

Tyson looked spry and light on his feet in 2020 against Roy

Just because it “sold” some units back then doesn’t mean it was a great Album, had 2-3 bangers but most of that album was album fillers. 4:44 is Jay Z worst album, 262k first week in 2017 is about 100k units in todays music. Eminem has twice the Fan base Jay Z has and Managed to do 280k first week.

Nobody looking out for Jay Z like you think they are.

The Bolded…… you forgot a little detail about Sprint Literally buying A MILLION Units. GTFO with that Fake ass double platinum plaque.

  • By July 2, the album was offered as a free download, sponsored by Sprint, via the website 444.tidal.com.[126][127] Those album downloads—which were free to the consumer but purchased by Sprint for distribution—were counted by the RIAA towards the Platinum certification. Roc Nation told Billboard that the certification reflects those 1 million downloads, and no streams were applied towards the certification.[3]

Saying the album wasn’t great is your opinion, as many people felt it was, including me (personal classic). You claim nobody cared, yet he went on his highest grossing solo tour on the heels of that album.

4:44 was His worst album. There’s a reason why he stepped away for good.

It had less hits than all his other records including Kindom come. It was offered for Free on his website. That tells you something.

As far as touring goes. Jay Z always does well on tours, I was there front Row and nobody was there for no 4:44 songs. In fact He only performed FOUR and sometimes 6 songs from that entire album and they sprinkled them on set, believe me Nobody was hype when Smile came on😂🤣

👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾 here’s the set list buddy.

I was at the show in Detroit, and The 4:44 songs were received well here, especially The Story of OJ, Smile, and Bam.

Just because the album didn’t have big hits, that doesn’t automatically make it his worst album. If that’s what you’re gauging quality on, we have nothing else to discuss as far as music is concerned.

Alright give me you your top 8 Jay Z Albums. Let’s see where you rank 4:44.

Off the top you can’t have 4:44 sitting with Reasonable doubt, Black Album, Hard Knock Life, Blueprint, Vol 1, Vol 3 or Watch the Throne. It can’t be on that table.

That album sitting with American Gangster and Magna Carta.
