Why not have Paige come out and say it was all part of her plan, and that she lured and baited AJ into giving her the title shot in the first place? :manny:
Meh, it could work. But how would she had known AJ would grant her a title shot tho? It was a impromptu match.

Given how cocky and arrogant AJ acted and has acted for quite awhile, I think Paige might have partially expected this, anyways.

Not really. Even tho she was mad arrogant, she never just gave out title shots like yesterday.

because she felt the Total Divas didn't deserve title shots because most of them came from modeling not wrestling.

Think about this: for months on end, AJ has run down the rest of the division both verbally and in the ring. I mean, for fukk's sake she won a match at WrestleMania that featured 13 opponents at the same time!

At some point, especially with AJ being the swarmy heel, this would make her ego swell to such giant proportions, that she felt that she could give out title shots to anybody, and beat them handily. And like I said before, it finally caught up to her and bit her in the ass. Now let's how this builds and leads to Extreme Rules.

who the fukk said AJ was buried? :snoop:
I'm sure some butthurt marks on Twitter said that, but if that's the case, why the hell would they have her as champ for so long to begin with in the first place?

They could have ripped it from her after Beadlegate, and they could have ripped from her in the immediate aftermath of Punk walking out and given it to Naomi or Nattie (Naomi was rumoured to have won anyway, but Aksana's knee changed all of that)

They could have had Nattie squash her, make her cry like a weak little girl in the Sharpshooter, and leave her off the WM card if they really wanted to "send a message" to Punk. But they didn't. And I like how they booked Paige's spot. It was shocking; it was out of nowhere; and it got people talking. Much like AJ's pipebomb did last year.

Now, WWE can use this to once again build towards another epic Diva feud, and not the bullshyt with the Total Divas.

Yeah, I'm really surprised she held it this long. I honestly expected her to lose it once Total Divas got going.

AJ jobbed to a NXT rookie (Paige has been wrestling for almost her whole life but still) and you guys are happy like it's something really cool. She didn't even fight back, that match last one minute.
I think it's an injustice. Paige is already champ on NXT and then debuts and steals Naomi's spot. Really fair, huh? And don't come at me with "This will change the division!" - no, it's not going to change the division. WWE still doesn't care.
After this "feud" with Paige (if we actually get it), AJ's done.

:obama: bout damn time....

But to be honest...I think a better story would have been better if AJ was a face and Paige was the villian...it would have been a tad bit interesting..
that would take time to make AJ a face...better off just introducing the new star who can be a heel down the line some time

For the first quote, I had no problem how it was booked. The longtime heel champ is talking crap to the young "rookie", feels cocky and confident, and actually, dictated the offensive pace before she left herself open and got caught. Paige's reaction really sold it too. She wasn't expecting this opportunity, but she got it, got out of a bad situation, and now is the Divas Champion. Plus with the fallout, AJ will go berserk now, doing anything from claiming it was a fluke, to saying she wasn't prepared, and might even say Paige "tapped" first. Every heel excuse in the book. That way, AJ will (hopefully) take Paige more seriously once Extreme Rules rolls around.

For the second quote, I myself actually have the kind of idea to stretch this feud out to next year's WrestleMania, while also doing a double turn in between.

Are we talking about WWE or other company? Do you think they will stretch this until next Mania? It would be cool, but naahh.
I can't agree with you, buddy. They made AJ look like a joke, that finisher was botched and I'm not even gonna talk about the backstage politics.
I'm tired of AJ as heel to be honest. They teased us a break up between her and Tamina and we got nothing because they decided to debut a rookie to win a championship. Too soon.

I'm the biggest AJ fan in the word. I think she's the best Diva on the main roster right now because she's the total package. Nobody can really touch her. But come on, man. She's been champion for over 200 days. She's gone over pretty much everybody clean more than a few times. She can't stay on top forever.

Be happy it's to Paige (a legitimately talented wrestler) and not one of the other one-foot dropkicking, no mic skills having Total Divas.
