What? Call centre jobs have already been decimated by AI. Companies have downsized the workforce drastically in this areas. Offering AI chat online or AI first response on the phone and making you go thru many steps to speak to a human. They have not fully replaced humans but that's not saying much when you have cut 80% of those jobs and are making sure only a minority of calls get an actual human response.
i think OP means general service agents. those menu driven AI services have led to a massive drop in service quality.
