I hate to say it since he is my 2nd favorite player alltime, but enough is enough.
Just last night I was arguing with some clowns thinking prime AI was better than prime Kobe:wtf:

I started thinking, in the GOAT SG era, AI realistically was BARELY a top 5 SG(if he was at all) yet people still have him as one of the best.

These are a list of SG that played during AIs era, that were better than him at their peak/prime

Kobe
TMAC
Wade
Ray Allen
VC

Then if you wanna just talk about scorers, Lebron and Durant are better than him as well.

In the thing AI did the "best", he wasnt even top 5 in that regard when he was playing, ever.

Hes a bum

Aren't you like 18-19? Shut the fukk up kid, you're just wrong.

You do know A.I won an MVP and like 4-5 scoring titles right? Dude averaged 33 ppg one season and in his prime, he was most DEFINITELY a top 5 player in the NBA. Dude at one point was arguably the best player in the league, let alone being a top 5 SG :rudy:

Wade? Dude wasn't even in the league when A.I was at his best and even when he was a rookie and a sophomore, A.I was averaging 30+ ppg

Ray Allen and VC were never better than Iverson, period.

T-Mac, yeah maybe, Kobe during that era, it was arguable but during 1999-2005 it's not like those guys were leaps and bounds better than A.I. I would even argue that during a season or two during that era, Iverson was better than them.

I know for a fact you never watched Iverson play in his prime if you're labeling him a "bum" dude is far from and is pound for pound one of the best scorers in NBA history. He averages more ppg than everyone on that list you listed. Fukking fakkit :pacspit:

He is like Rose. Tiny, athletic and flashy. So people overrated him.

Substance > Style

Iverson was never on that level.

Nothing garbage about AI. Yeah he may have not been as efficient as some but to be barely 6'0 and getting those shots off was hard enough as it is. He wasn't a bad shooter, he just took bad shots just like Kobe. And the only shooting guards from that era that you can say were definitely better than AI is Kobe and Wade because of the titles. But AI beat Ray and Vince on his way to a Finals appearance. And T-Mac couldn't get his team out of the first round. So i don't see how you can definitely say those threee were better than him. Ray probably will be rated higher in history because of the title and the three point record. But i don't remember to many people saying he was better than Chuck when they were in their prime.

Yup, I was going to make this thread. It's funny how some people actually put Iverson in the same boat as Kobe and McGrady back then. Going 9 of 26 at the field goal and 8 for 10 at the free throw line every night is really impressive. That's and easy 25 plus points a night especially with scrubs on his team.

Scoring is just ONE part of the game, and even in that regard AI did it inefficiently. Every player I listed was a better shooter than AI, and nearly all of them could average as many points as AI, while shooting more efficient.

In AIs, MVP season he averaged 31ppg, with 2.5 steals :obama:

Not so fast tho, his other stats 4.6 assist as a PG:what:, 42% shooting from the field:huhldup: 32% from 3:rudy:

Kobe, Tmac, and Wade at their peaks were better players, period. Not only could they put up just as many points, but they can do it more efficient, had more range, average more assist, rebounds AND play REAL man to man defense.

Kobe held AI to zero points and blocked him 5 times :umad:

When was Vince or Ray Allen ever in the same class as AI?

This is what happens when people who only been watching basketball since Kobe switched to 24 formulate opinions. Milwaukee Ray is one of my favorite players ever but he wasnt better than a prime AI, neither was T-Mac (who is most overrated btw) or Vince Carter.

Hall of famer but very overrated. Prime Kobe/Wade/Tmac were clearly better

He had only one real year of any type of playoff success, and that was in a watered down ECF where he was hot and cold that entire playoff run
