It's not that we lost, it's how we lost. They stopped being competitive once they hit 21pts.
Play calling went ultra conservative.
And from now on, I don't wanna hear shyt from the defense, especially the secondary. Them nikkas got shytTED on in the 2nd half. Big play after big play.

Giants just lost after giving up a lead too. Only positive from this weekend was a Gawd United convincing win and Wayne Rooney being benched. Other than that...pretty shytty.

It's literally been almost a decade since UF were a threat. That is absolutely dreadful considering we have first access to a talent hotbed in the state of Florida.

Apathetic at this point. Mac isn't the answer but we can't fire him because we don't have an AD yet thanks to Foleys BS. Our recruiting is average and the roster will be in worse shape talent wise than when Muschamp left. We're fukked thanks to Foley not firing WM and now were gonna pay. This team has quit on Mac twice and all he can say is as shucks. We're gonna be bad on defense next year and our offensive staff are average coaches. Well go 6-6 if were lucky. I'd throw the whole checkbook at Herman. That won't happen though.

Problem is this staff can't get them here. We'll take their 3* leftovers though.

Bruhs I don't wanna say Mac is or isn't the answer, but one thing that is CLEARLY alarming offensively is that we don't have much elite speed. I'm rewatching old Urban UF day highlights and having the game changing turn a small crease into a 30 yard gain speed is one thing we're missing. No Rainey, Demps, Harvin, James playmaking speed.

Also....bruhs, man i'd give anything to have an elite OL again. The days of the Pouncey twins flanked by Marcus Gilbert, Xavier Nixon, and Carl Johnson are long gone :mjcry:

I have 0 expectations about the season lol. I feel like New York after all the dope rappers left. Everyone keeps tryna 'restore the feeling' but i just gotta face that we're shyt. Seeing us blow a 21 point halftime lead did it for me. We got another QB who's scared to throw over 5 yards. Same shyt different season lol

Mac may still be the answer. You can't really compare him to Urban. There's very, very, very few coaches out here that are on that level of competitive obsession.

I agree, Urban is a 2-3 times a generation level talent, shame his professional and personal life tanked at the same time for us. I have taken a few days to cool down and digest. As previously mentioned, I dunno if Mac is the answer, but Foley not firing Muschump after season three has been devastating for the program. Add to that, Foley let our facilities, particularly football, go to crap. Mac recognized this and is finally reversing the trend .What is more concerning than the coaching lapses, is the lack of elite recruiting from this regime. I'm being patient, but he has to have a strong top 5-10 class to keep the chatter down.

Yeah you're certainly right about that. I really thought Muschamp was the guy for the job before we started losing to teams like Georgia Southern. To think we struck out twice in a row is scary but Mac should be bringing in an elite class and it doesn't look like we are a the this point.
