Lmao. Batman's moves in that fight were pathetic. Lol @ Batman literally doing zero investigating on Bane and just getting tricked into a one on one fight and not even attempting to use gadgets.

Nolan's Batman is a dummy in a world of retarded people and the majority of his wins are against idiots and people who don't realize you can do other things with a rifle besides swinging it at people

Yea that first fight scene with Bane in TDKR was an instant classic. You knew it the moment you saw it.

Doesn't hold up quite as well on repeated viewings (some of the choreography is a bit weak) but you can't deny the power of that scene the first time you saw it.

Nolan threw batmans determination, willpower, and detective skills in the bushes and y'all love him for it. :snoop:

The whole third movie was about Batman finally having the ultimate will power. That's how he was able to make the jump without the rope.

edit: Not tryna get at you. I agree with you for the most part about how Nolan's Batman wasn't really Batman (more like an adaptation of Batman)... I'm just sayin willpower was one of the main themes from the movie.

I hear what you saying but,

We talking about BATMAN having to muster up willpower and courage. BATMAN.

Batman is all willpower and courage. If he's "discovering" that 2 hours into a 2 hour and 30 minute movie then they failed portraying batman.

Yea but you could make the argument that the trilogy was really him BECOMING Batman.

Lol I forgot where I heard it but someone once said - jokingly - about the current superhero genre that now it takes 3 movies to accomplish what we used to get in 1. Now it takes one whole movie just to establish an origin.

Which is cool as long as it's good.

but he retired after the second one and faked his death to get away from being batman. That wouldn't be a good argument to make :dead:

Well unfortunately if you make a movie about Batman as he really is (flawless, fearless, perfect mind, supreme confidence, supreme willpower, uncanny deduction skills, scientific brilliance, uncompromising discipline, unyielding spirit)... you don't really have a lot of places to go as it pertains to a character arc. Which is cool for comics and cartoons and shyt like that cause of their long episodic nature but for a 2 hour self contained movie I think people wanna see the main character make some kind of emotional journey before it's all over.

Unless of course you go the Bond route.
