when I was growing up there were basically three terms to describe a Black person's complexion...dark-skin, brown-skin, and light-skin, but recently brown-skin has basically been erased and nowadays it's either light-skin or dark-skin

Is there a southern consensus on redbone vs yellow bone? Bc I kinda know what you talking about, it's the brown skin that somehow looks brighter. My NYers probably recognize it in trinis of a certain tone.
