That got big because of consistency they were releasing new variations constantly, that mixed with celebs buying them which then made them hold their value. Same thing with traditional art. If you released paintings, then had a celeb cosign it would hold value and rise in value. The clip the bytch is talking about in the video
I guess. To each it's own breh. I don't see the real long term value in it. Like you said. It's the equivalent to some yeezys except you can't even wear them in publicThat got big because of consistency they were releasing new variations constantly, that mixed with celebs buying them which then made them hold their value. Also it was one of the first big pfp projects. Not much people were doing pfps before the apes
Alot of people just like art breh, the people buying apes are also hanging them in their house once they buy them. And they do wear them in "public" via there avatars on social mediaI guess. This is like asking why is art on canvas valuable, it depends on the specific art project.Nobody in here is clearly explaining the value of nfts. It almost like a “nikka you ain’t up on this” situation. If you’re so adamant about their value then pick a couple NFTs and explain clearly why they have value. Then when people ask clarifying questions, respond with a thoughtful answer. You nikkas are insufferable.
Did you read my post? I said give an example of an NFT and why it’s valuable. You completely ignored my post and went right back into pointless bickering. You seem to be well versed in NFTs. You can’t pick two and explain their value? This is like asking why is art on canvas valuable, it depends on the specific art project.
Show me an nft project of value and I'll explain why it holds value.
The same reason you listed why art could be valuable is the same reasons NFTs can be.Did you read my post? I said give an example of an NFT and why it’s valuable. Also, why ONE piece of art is valuable may be specific, but in general there are a set of reasons why art is considered valuable. It invokes emotions, it requires great skill that few can replicate, it was created by an artist who has a history of previously creating art, it’s simply beautiful to look at. Generally there is either some emotional attachment to it (for whatever reason) or it was just created by somebody who has created something in the past that people loved and people want something else that has that person’s name on it.
But since you want to put the onus on me, I’ll play. I’m not familiar with NFTs because it still hasn’t clicked for me, but since this is the coli, how about this. What makes Tariq’s buck breaking (or whatever tf they’re called) NFTs valuable?

When you buy an NFT, do you generally have sole ownership and rights to the media? Because with art, you do. So I would assume that if you are comparing this to art, the same applies? The same reason you listed why art could be valuable is the same reasons NFTs can be.
As I said I can't speak on all NFTs in general if you want to know why certain projects are valuable then you would need to name a project to me.
Tariqs NFTs are not even that valuable, look at his floor price. Last time I checked it didn't even pass 2ETH floor. How's that valuable? And if it has passed 2ETH by now I'd say that's because he has a following. When you have a following that treats you like a god everything you do will have value to them.
Not actually true. If you buy a kaws print you don't own the rights to the original. If you buy a banksy print you don't own the rights to the original. And even when you buy originals you still don't own the rights. You own that one canvas painting but not the rights to the image. When you buy an NFT, do you generally have sole ownership and rights to the media? Because with art, you do. List 5 big examples of people using nft to launder money pleasecyber money laundering.
NFTs are just digital assets that ownership can be proven for. NFT ART isn't the only use case NFTs have, it's just the wave now and I do agree that a lot of people will be bag holding shytty NFT art that won't have any value over time.
Wow. Just wow. Where are your comprehension skills? You dummy. I’m talking about taking money from these emerging blockchain technologies and buying hard assets. The point being made is that if it’s not illegal, stop worrying about “scams” and learn how to leverage the opportunity for yourselves. This is some defeatist bullshyt. No black person is getting money and do real estate? All black folks are living in shanty towns huh? So Mexicans, Serbs, Mongolians, Turkmenians, Liberians etc are ALL getting money from NFTS & getting into real estate but blacks are aren’t?
get the fukk out of here.
You nikkas are obsessed with things being "scams". Every other group is out here getting money and putting it into real estate. Get with it or get left behind. The same folks crying scam will be whining about increased income inequality 15 years from now.
