Here's the thing...there were some Austin returns that didn't produce and crowds weren't as loud. Rock had drawn every return and ratings went up...buys went up....record crowds. No one did that. Not Hogan, Austin, Taker, Andre. Rock will always be humble but your eyes don't lie.
fukking took him three posts to come with this silly shyt :russ:

Austin may not be everybody's number 1, but I'd have a hard time respecting anybody's Mount Rushmore (taking overall impact and such into account, not personal preference) if he wasn't on it.

Even before retiring, Austin in 2002-2003 was a sad sight before he feuded with Rocky for the last time. He was super lost in the shuffle. :picard: Rock never had such a… low energy? crowd response post-AE. Those Austin guest spots/returns were usually meh.

That being said, I still put both men as 1A/1B interchangeably in the Mt Rushmore/grand scheme of wrestling. I personally enjoyed Austin’s runs more overall.

Austin is in my WWF Mt Rushmore but not my wrestling overall Mt Rushmore. I watched too much stuff in addition to WWF. Way too much great shyt out there to compete with. He's a fun part of my childhood though. That's for sure

That makes absolutely no sense and a redneck's line of thinking. Especially when the fans clearly were going more towards Rock by the end of 99..they were cheering for the Rock like he was a god...chanting Rocky at WCW PPV main events. Shows and video games were named after the Rock..not Austin. Booker T was basically complying the Rock all.of 2000 in WCW.
