AFTER SEEING SUPERFLY MOVIE 2018 how you feel about it ?

I thought it was gonna be Belly 2 and just as bad, but it was cool. I thought it was gonna be a long trap music video. My only beef was this nikka was way too babyfaced and the fake ass beard didnt help. He didnt look or come across like a gangster or have any edge. He came off like a college student and looked like he was in a boy band. His clothes was clean as shyt, though. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised. Big Boi was hilarious and Jason Mitchell stole almost every scene he was in. The rivals played their parts very well. I was also happy to see my nikka Bob from La Bamba (Esai Morales, a very underappreciated actor).

i thought it was really good, very entertaining. The snow patrol clowns were hilarious

The movie was cool. I caught it at a matinee, and I don't feel like I wasted my money at all, even if I had payed regular fee. Not quite the setting of the original in Harlem, however basically the same plot. Anyway, they were saying things in this movie that all brothers can relate to who been out there trying to make ends meet. It was a combination of several movies, but it kinda reminded me of how some of "Boys in the Hood", would have looked if it were made 27 years later, except nobody is living in mamas house, and it's totally about drugs, etc...

I think a lot of us don't want to see the movie because they feel it's a step backwards from Black Panther. But if you saw Avenger Infinity War, where Wakanda already went down, then it would make no sense to not go ahead and see this movie. It would at least give African-Americans a reality check, and remind you that if we going to come out of this, we can't wait on Africa, at least no time soon.

 

[I Really Mean It]

Paid In Full is the best "hood" movie ever made. Camron left me thinking he was really about that life. Wood Harris is a dope actor that should have had a much more prolific career. But he did play the lead antagonist in what is considered one of the greatest dramas in history (unless String was the true villain).
