If Dez can keep his head out of his ass like he has been...its either him or AJ Green.

Dez is the only guy coming close to Calvin athletically.

Dez Bryant or AJ Green...shyt maybe Julio

Drew Pearson on Bryant

“I don’t think he’s peaking. I still think his stock is rising. I still think he’s going to get better and be more dominant than he is right now. When he first came in, everyone was calling him a beast. I said that was kind of premature. He was not a beast at that point. But he’s starting to get to that point right now. I think I read a quote where Michael Irvin said that he and Calvin Johnson are the best two receivers in the league right now. I would have to agree with that, but I don’t think Dez is a flash in the pan. What we’re seeing is a flash of what his brilliance can be on a long term basis.”

Right now ima go with Fitz as the second best and if he had a decent QB he might be the best still. Let's not forget what he did in the 2008 playoff run. But next year i think Dez will be the best followed by Aj Green. Hell one of those two may end up being the best overall.

Stafford has so many yards because he has CJ and cause he's throwing it 700 times this season, that's why.

And stop with this "pass happy league" and "rule changes" bullshyt excuse to hate on modern players. The pass/run ratio has been similar for the last 2 decades

The pass ratio has remained above 54 percent since 1991. While many think the pass has really gone up dramatically in recent years, it is just not true.
During the 1994-96 seasons, teams threw the ball on 56.4 percent of all offensive plays.
During the 2009-11 seasons, teams threw the ball on 56.8 percent of all offensive plays.

The 2011 season (57.1% pass) saw huge passing numbers, but in terms of playcalling, it still trails the 1995 season (57.4% pass), which was the pass-happiest season in NFL history. Even the standard deviation in pass ratio for those seasons is close, with 4.51 for 1995, and 4.55 for 2011.

There was not a single team in 1995 that ran the ball more than they passed. Three teams last season — Houston, San Francisco and Denver — each ran more than they passed.

So when you hear someone say that “it’s now a pass-first league,” ask them where they were 20 years ago.

CHFF Super Study: the evolution of NFL pass-run ratio

It's funny because the season where rice set the record was the most pass happy in NFL history:usure:

Stat Nerd I see. Now I know what I'm dealing with.....

So you haven't seen a lot of football. That's been established

You throwing out these silly ratios but fail to mention that Stafford is on pace to have 100 more pass attempts than Young/Elvis had in Jerry's year.

That's like 3 additional games of pass attempts, but you up in here spewing that BS like football isn't played a helluva lot differently now.

2nd. You did not put the numbers in context. You failed to mention the total number of plays that teams ran on average, and most importantly, WAIT FOR IT,

You could jam, fight receivers all through the play and you could beast fukk the QB if you felt like it
Defenses could intimidate and scare the living shyt out of their opponents....
This is called duress, and players would still be putting up numbers. And San Fran, Buffalo, and a few others threw the ball in the mid 90s a lot, but not as much as they do now.

So I guess Marques Colston, Greg Jennings, Welker and Antonio Gates are on Megatron's level too cause they shole helped their QBs get over 4700 yards.

Also, if they were throwing it just as much 25-30 years ago, why did the record stand for so long....?

The disrespect for B.Marshall is ridiculous in this thread. He eats no matter who is under center. This is a fact.

I've never seen a reciever constantly get doubled and still put up numbers. Everybody knows he's getting the ball and they still cant stop him.

The numbers dont lie :ahh:
