Always ask which is more likely:

1.Aliens who have mastered faster than light travel just happened to crash land here and somehow several governments and staff members have kept conclusive proof under wraps for years

2. The UFO phenomenon can be explained by the effect that high altitude and speed has on human vision and perception+the pentagon has experimental drones and aircrafts that it tests and since they tend to be between 20-30 years ahead with technology, it seems alien. This is a play for more funding so they can "study" this unusual phenomenon by creating new positions that don't do anything and boosting salary of staff.

Which is more likely? Especially given the miniscule budget NASA has by comparison to actually send rovers and satellites into space to study the planets in our solar system?

The contentious part is that anything discussed in the SCIF remains in the SCIF.

We may see secondary and tertiary requests for info and subpoenas...but even then there's a risk of aggregation.
