The crime rate has went down since Hip Hop were invented. While teen pregnancy and college enrollment and attainment is up. Poverty was going down too until the recession of 2007-2008.

Honestly I'm guilty myself of supporting this music in the past but the reality is it's poisoning our people.

Kids in the ghetto aren't growing up wanting to be the next astronaut, doctor or engineer. They want to be the next Bobby Shmurda or 50 Cent.

We seriously need to stop glorifying this shyt. Almost every aspiring rapper believes he has to have some level of street credibility before he enters the rap game. Therefore, like successful rappers who've come before him, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, he sells drugs to poison our own people then he raps about doing it.

This is nothing to aspire to be.
