except much worse in portugal's case. compared to any country, they are poor and have very little influence. compared to the UK, they're absolute minnows. a lot of british actors come to the US because there's more money to be made, but portuguese actors dont really have that option in respect to brazil, and there's a lot less money to be made there as well, since nobody has any, especially not for film and tvIt's funny how that happens. When the colony becomes such a large, populous country, the dialect and culture of the former colony, starts to influence the mother country. Kinda like The US and The UK.
the US doesn't really have much influence on the UK but the two countries trade and share a lot of cultural touchstones. brazilians rarely think about portugal at all
