Africans: Can you tell what tribe or country Diasporans are from just by looking at them?

They actually did a test on Q-Tip and it said he was descended from the Diola people. John legend I believe was Fulani.

Just peeped it now. Makes sense, the Diola migrated to that region of Africa before the Fulanis (they're probably one of the most dispersed people). When I look at Q-Tip, it's as if I've seen somebody that looks like him before.

Correct, but his dominate strand came from them. Some African Americans have Dominate strands and or exact matches from certain places. Chris Tucker had an exact match because his African ancestry was fairly recent. Their was still slaves coming in from Africa in 1850.
