Why are you pulling up stuff from the 50s?

I know AA invented Rock.. That's indisputable But to say its AA culture today is flat out wrong

DO you know what other practices a certain group of people used to do in the 50s that they no longer do now?

drinking-fountains-1.jpg

Who points to that as an example of today's standard

When the rock and roll industry is 97% white, how is this even debatable?

Rock never left the AA community...anyone who listened to Funk would know this

if a white person made this same song,it would be called "Rock"

.....the marketing term "Rock"just got used for white people while "Black rock" artists were grouped with Soul/Funk.

Im not saying there are NO black rock artist...
But there are far far more white ones..

There are more white people period than Afram

And you all are arguing for the 5% that are black and claiming that it's "your culture. This is just complete nonsense

There are more white jazz musicians and white Blues players, this doesn't stop those genres from belonging to Afram culture. There are more non-Afram rappers globally than there are Afram ones, this doesn't stop Rap from being Afram music.:stopitslime:

Your reference to these stats is very flawed

you would have to compare AA rappers to British rappers.. Or AA to Chinese rappers

Not AA to 'the entire world"

The entire "white world" of the British Isles is basically how Rock and Roll got the global stamp as "white music". The British Invasian is what caused it more than white americans.

....even though a ton of white americans loved/played/made Jazz they were never able to get the music disassociated from it's roots. The disassociation of the roots happened with Rock because the entire "white" world jumped on it and this is exactly what happened with Afram electroinic dance music from the UK,Sweden,Germany, France etc..

While i disagree with his inclusion of mexicans ( they , along with hispanics in general , are NOT ally's of blacks AT ALL) , what he had to say about Africans ( especially in america) is pretty much dead on. It's funny , ive come across so many racist whites ( online and offline) that known about the chasm between Afro Americans and Africans and are quick to mention it in arguments. "Them monkeys from Africa dont even like you" , and similar comments such as that lol. Ive even heard about Africans colluding with whites and going in on Afro Americans. How do so many Whites know about the rift between the two groups? Could it be because theyve actually met Africans before who have expressed hostility and/or aversion for Afro Americans in their presence? This (among other reasons) is why i dont really care about pan africanism and are only concern myself with my own people.

So do Africans feel that way because it's inherent in their nature to hate Aframs, or because of the global phenomenon known as White Supremacy that has not only affected the way in Africans look at Aframs but also the way in which Aframs look at Africans?

Unfortunately alot of Africans I know seem to have superiority complex when it comes to African Americans , but watch them worship whites when they wear their traditionm garments or speak their language. I know a hausa dude who said that he feels that hes people are better than African Americans because hausa kingdoms sold weaker African tribes to the whites. Alot of Africans have blood on their hands when it comes to slavery and there are still many Africans I know who came from slave selling cultures who still maintain the stigma against those who are descendants of slaves. Pan Africanism has always been a pipe dream.

Africans control their media's though ( or they should). Why do African medias insist on showing the worse of American blacks?

I see you seriously undermine just how much White Supremacy has affected Africans so let's just end this conversation... :snoop:

Im sorry man, but not if you aren't doing it today..

If a big African American Rock&roll star was to appear next year, do you know what they are going to say?

"Wow this guy is a phenomenom" .. "This is the biggest AA rock star since Jimi Hendrix!" etc etc

It will NOT be looked upon as business as usual

These are the facts my friend.. But keep living in whatever fantasy world you and 'pointer' want to put yourselves in, but its not reality.

THIS THIS THIS

Reggae and other West Indian music are WAY more popular in Africa than AA music and even then, it doesn't come close to how much Africans worship their artist more.

Afram music is more influential throughout all of Africa and it's been historically there since the 1800's when Afram performance groups traveled there back in the day. Just take a look at some of the top Afro-pop genres where they combine their own music with outside sources

Afrobeat--- Funk and Jazz
Cape Jazz - Jazz
Ethio-Jazz - Jazz Funk
Marabi- Jazz and ragtime
Rai music- jazz funk
makossa- funk and disco
kaduro - house and techno
kwaito- house music
highlife- jazz
desert blues - Blues

..and many more
