Hi everyone. This is Ikey, the guy who made the video. I can understand how my message in the song/video can be misinterpreted, especially when taken out of context but I want to be clear on my message here because it’s an important one. This song and video were made as a part of a short film that I haven’t released yet where I wanted to share some of the conflicts myself and many first-generation African Americans have to go through. The purpose of this video was to call out the criticisms some Africans have against African Americans. Some of my own family members, telling me to stay away from the “Akatas.” A lot of ridiculous and stereotypical assumptions made against African Americans when at the end of the day we are all the same. I’ve seen people here bring up different origins and meanings of the word. I’m not going to argue with each of the definitions. What I will say though is that the word is also used to describe Africans who have become “Americanized.” In fact, it has been used to describe me and so in defiance to being called that I was driven to create this song/video. Basically, this video was created as a satire of what some Africans think it means to be “Black in America” or to “lose your way.” Many first-generation Africans can relate to the meaning behind this video and I wanted to create a dialogue between us because as brothers and sisters, no one wins when the diaspora feuds. I have a scene in the film (which will be released soon) where a friend of mine who is African American says at the end of the day, if a racist cop sees me and him, they won’t be able to tell the difference. The topic has never been more relevant especially as we fight in the face of systematic oppression in America. So, the intention is never to divide but to unify and call out ironies within the community. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for generations of African American Leaders who fought against white supremacy and the pain, suffering and struggle of generations of African leaders as well. I can understand if the video is too graphic in taste for some. That’s a valid criticism. Just know my intentions aren’t to divide but to foster honest conversations and unite. And P.S. thanks for all the advice... imma stay away from them Twinkies

What have YOU done to challenge the Jewish watchdog groups that forced Viacom to cut ties with Nick Cannon and making him apologize 5011 times?

If the answer is nothing, carry on.

The entertainers in OP are both pieces of shyt for bigoted idiotic behavior.
We were going at the jews all day
