I have black leopard red wolf its dope but written in a very obtuse, abstract style wouldnt really recommene for someone who cant use their imagination to. Are there any links to Imaro :lupe:

A comic book based on the Igbo god of strength, war, time, success and achievement

Uchenna Onwuekwe’s comic book, titled IKENGA is telling a different story about this deity that was highly revered by his people. Uche- A medical doctor in the day, an illustrator by night: Is from Anambra state where an Ikenga is majorly found and specially owned by Men of high reputation during the pre-colonial era. The Rage Of Dragons (The Burning Series) By Evan Winter
img_0159.jpg

The Omehi people have been fighting an unwinnable fight for almost two hundred years. Their society has been built around war and only war. The lucky ones are born gifted. One in every two thousand women has the power to call down dragons. One in every hundred men is able to magically transform himself into a bigger, stronger, faster killing machine.

Everyone else is fodder, destined to fight and die in the endless war. Young, gift-less Tau knows all this, but he has a plan of escape. He's going to get himself injured, get out early, and settle down to marriage, children, and land. Only, he doesn't get the chance. Those closest to him are brutally murdered, and his grief swiftly turns to anger. Fixated on revenge, Tau dedicates himself to an unthinkable path. He'll become the greatest swordsman to ever live, a man willing to die a hundred thousand times for the chance to kill the three who betrayed him.

Sounds interesting... anyone read this yet?

Off topic but these character designs are horrible.

No one in Africa has access to steroids, I was looking for some books with african flare to them and these dudes look more like Vikings then Africans.

I'm getting sick of black people obsessing with roided out black men. Africans universally use lightweight weapons and no armor why is so many of them roided out?:dame:

So many things wrong with this statement that I can't even begin to dissect this stupidity.

He worded it wrong but i get the gist of what hes saying some of these drawings look like African dragon ball z characters. Going back to Imaro it works well for that characters cuz hes basically the answer to Conan but not everyone has to be a 7 foot warrior king or amazon queen. I actually really liked the design behind the graphic novel The Pack, very lithe yet still muscular characters

Who you calling stupid? I prefer Black men to not be portrayed as nothing but disgusting barbarians on steroids, what the hell is wrong with that?:mjtf:

You mad because i don't like black men being portrayed as obese, one dimensional, brutes on steroids? :gucci:

If he stuck to aesthetics, that would be fine but the poster didn't.
I agree with what you said. Not everybody has to be physically portrayed as super buff. However just because the character is muscular doesn't mean they are a one-dimensional character.

Who's to say that any book will only have those type of characters? If you don't like the physical aesthetic of the characters, that's fine.

No, I was mad because your assertions of Africans (their cultures, histories, legends, myths etc) is downright stupid. Talking about steroids (when Vikings didn't have steroid either). Using the ':dame:' emoji/smilie to imply that people that like that aesthetic on characters are gay.
Also, just because the character is muscular doesn't mean they are a one-dimensional character.
