I see this word Akata used by Africans about African Americans. Africans get their perception about AA's from white media. It was worse, because many of those Northern Black people were from the Country too; but they were putting on airs to try to make themselves feel better than the other people from the Country.

Btw, it wasn't just limited to those words. It also included how you spoke; what you ate and how you looked. Some of the stuff was very personal.
