if you guys haven't managed to enterprise and attain relative success in america, good luck in an african country, where there are millions of people just as capable, if not, more, than you and just as hungry... :mjpls:

realism will get your further than internet pan-africanism with no plan.

for all the racism and fukkery in amerikka, we have way more opportunities to hustle here than practically anywhere else.

i'm not relocating until i've amassed the capital to do so and a viable plan to succeed in said country.

there's a reason, unfortunately, that there has been brain drain from african countries to europe and america.

For now, they may not. But I think in time, it will change. Years ago the "african" identity wasn't that big, they identified based on their country / ethnic group. Today, being "african" actually means something and can have some weight. There's still issues here and there but it's different from before.

If people from the diaspora want to move back to the continent, especially after doing their due diligence, there's nothing wrong with that. People of other races do that a lot more than we think, word to the Chinese, Indians, Lebanese, Europeans, etc.

I don't know why y'all keep bring this up. Why on earth do you think someone would be dumb enough to move to another continent without having a plan :dahell:

Nobody even mentioned pan Africanism other than the person you quoted.

i was about to @ you but you're already here :ehh:

Breh I was up last night and couldn't sleep and was literally day dreaming about the day I can finally leave. I spent the 1st half of my life in a country where I'm hated because I'm African. Makes 0 sense for me to spend the 2nd half of my life here when there's a continent of people who look just like me who don't give a single fukk that I'm black.

my post isn't a jab at black people who have a strategic plan to attain relative success out there... i have fam who have done so and have similar aspirations.

it just annoys me when people on the internet try to depict african countries as some kind of promised land... not being cognizant of the fact that, their governments fukk their people over just like here, are in cahoots with white neo-imperialists just like here and have a significant populations which are disenfranchised, just like here.

plus, most of the people who propose the 'back to africa' rhetoric aren't even serious about it... it's just pandering, dreamy rhetoric.

i think if you can hustle in america , are educated and have some business acumen, it's a viable option to consider. but i think if you're an average, breh... you need to take baby steps and understand how to enterprise in a money-driven place like the states before you even begin to consider making bread in a place with less infrastructure.

i don't know if the luxury of being around everyone who looks like me is worth those setbacks at this point... and i have fam out there. now, if my earning potential based on my field of study were comparable to here , then i'm packing my bags in a heartbeat. that's why for me, it's a long term vision.

Ummmm yes they are. fukk are you talking about? Many of the inspirations for the Civil Rights Movement came from anti colonialists from Africa and vice versa. They advocated for Pan Africanism. Many Africans believe in it, the advancement of the black African race and support it.

My mother always singing the praises about moving permanently to Africa, I wouldn't do that. Ideally, I'd like to be back and forth.
