but anyways, the reason i posted this thread is that in the black republican thread i said that the fact that the GOP is more explicitly racist than democrats is simply a data point and wouldnt preclude anything and people had a heart attack

communism and african americans is a blatant example of how people that were advocating against racism had terrible policies that in the long run would not benefit black people

so in the future i would politely ask to please spare me any corny diatribes about progressives and the good white folk of the democratic party and how black people are doomed if we dont support them

wat?

Reminds me of how Khomeini let all the black hostages go, told them to go home to their families since they were already oppressed. Kaks were mad as fukk :pachaha:

I see. So Black people could have sided with the explicitly more racist Confederates during the Civil War, since the severity of racism on each side "wouldn't preclude anything" and the small-government ideas of the Confederates would have been better in the long run?

Who is more likely to present fewer obstacles to the acquisition of power- people who are more prejudiced against you, or people who are less prejudiced against you? Or can one gain power as easily in a highly racist institution as in a less racist one?

Yea, he lost me on that one.

I vaguely know what he's saying but it's ridiculous. You don't look at one side being racist, another side being less racist, but then say "fukk the less racist side cause in the long run..." what? who knows what the future is in the long run? If the other side has a good point they have a good point.

black people should have an overall strategy that was based on increasing our economic and political power, in a strictly theoretical sense the racism of the confederates would not preclude working with them, if black people would have been granted their own separate state or worked out a deal for their freedom then in theory working with confederates would not be ruled out, im not saying that was realistic but the point is the crux of the argument should not be racism, the crux of the argument should be economic and political power, that is why it would have been a mistake to work for the confederates not because of racism

racism is simply a data point that you insert into a matrix of more data points that you can analyze to come to a proper conclusion

Lemme find out TWIMMY has the power to see people's pure intents through nothing but text on a screen :jawalrus:

"GOP has a long storied history of racism but so what. they really care about us guys. i just know it :wow:"

I'm not saying the GOP cares about anybody, what I am saying is that the GOP can be a useful tool to gain power so I wouldn't rule anything out

If your main concern is who cares about you then definitely you should vote for who you think cares about you, I'm not knocking that just like I don't knock the black leaders that embraced communism. I think they behaved in a completely rational mannoer, I just simply refuse to cosign a strategy that is based on who cares more and I assert there are equally rational alternate ways of analyzing things

Bruh... black people finding empowerment through the GOP is like black people finding empowerment through the Klan... it makes no fukking sense... you can't empower yourself by working with a group who has made it their mission to marginalize you. Its like a car where the front wheels go forward and the back wheels go backwards... where is it going???

empowerment??? lol, what are you calling empowerment? were black leaders that embraced communism empowered? are black democrats empowered?

but anyways, if you believe you cannot work with people who are trying to marginalize you what the hell are you doing in this country? you do realize that this entire country is trying to marginalize you, right?

No, "this entire country" is not trying to marginalize me. I would not be where I am today nor would I have got as far in my career as I have if not for people taking a chance on me- something that people looking to marginalize me would never do.

And yes, "black democrats" were empowered during the Civil Rights Act and the enactment of programs like affirmative action. If blacks had tried to link with the GOP to get CRA enacted your dumbass would prob be a slave today (and thankful for the intellectual opportunity).

thats funny, thats the exact the same thing tim scott says about the GOP

lol, do you even know your history? the democrats were opposed to civil rights, the civil rights law would have failed if not for republican votes, black people did link up with the GOP to get CRA enacted, black people still split their votes in those days and in the black republican thread i even posted a book written by the first black appointed to a white house position in the Eisenhower white house

and affirmative action is empowerment??? :laff: foh
