u call me fake cause u don’t like it, not because u can refute a single word i say.

can u read, breh? the thread said the goat music in the DIASPORA. that includes the island.

hip-hop is the number one genre in the world.

why was this thread limited to the diaspora? why not the whole world. it’s because c00ns and cacs love to create needless disputes within the nation.

im not militant at all, i just have a modicum of identity that doesn’t allow me to put my white identity (whatever colonized place im from) ahead of my black identity.

this is a basic part of being black and somewhat educated.

that’s why i have to assume you’re a cac. “its just music”

ask the jews who own it if it’s just music.

u are a cac who only listens to rap when u go to the bar with your black friend.

u learned about this site and decided to pour cac confusion into it.

if you’re gonna go onto a forum about music and culture takin bout “all this over music” u exposed yourself.

u don’t take music seriously, so don’t quote me and leave this forum. back to cacfront with u.
Nobody cares breh, this thread is about Afram Music, not music influenced, molded, and guided by it.
There are 1,000 Jamaican threads and even Jamaican forums. Find one and stop soaking up the sauce so you can add jerk later, big fella.

Knowledge is power. I heard of the Carter Family and how they were the 1st family of country, but I had no idea about Leslie Riddle teaching their family guitar or going into black areas and bringing them back material. Makes sense that Piedmont Blues would be the biggest influence on country, given the Banjos Sahelian origin.

:wow:

Riddle didn't teach the whole family how to play the guitar. He got music for the whole family. The only Carter that specifically stated that he taught her the guitar was Maybelle Carter. She mentioned that he taught her the "bottleneck style" or "slide style" guitar, that was popular among Black Bluesmen:

"...Maybelle Carter credited Riddle with teaching her the “bottleneck” style of guitar picking, in which the index finger plays the melody while the thumb keeps the rhythm on the bass strings. Of Maybelle’s playing, Riddle said: “You don’t have to give Maybelle any lessons. You let her see you playing something, she’ll get it – you better believe it.” Riddle taught The Carter Family such songs as “The Cannon Ball,” “I Know What It Means to Be Lonesome,” “Coal Miner Blues,” and “Let the Church Roll On.” In 1942, Riddle and his wife moved to Rochester, New York, and lost touch with both The Carter Family and music. A few years later he sold his guitar... ."

This thread has been tongue and cheek, lighthearted and largely educational
The same energy nigerians and ghanaians have when they mention fufu or who has the best egusi soup
Everybody knows this and has been for the most part, on code except for haters like you, using militancy as a smoke screen to dish out your grievances

jamaicans created hiphop from dubbing disco records and toasting in the 70s. literally rapping, not that shyt james brown was doing.

hip-hop is from nyc, not down south meaning it was an artform created by migrants within the diaspora. that means ricans, aas, jamaicans, haitians, dominicans ect.

ou.
:snoop: As we unveil why your really here

Hip hop as a genre stems from Afram Funk sonically and NYC disco DJ culture. Most of whom were AAfram where does Jamaica enter into the conversation

What was distinctively jamaican about hip hop:gucci:

point me to where this happens, cac. grime is universally known to be trash.
UK brehs post UK music pride threads EVERY WEEK.
Fake curiosity comparisons by 2nd gens trying to "stir the pot" like they do on twitter, @MikeyC @Clapsteel O'Neal post grime threads...and it's not garbage, they are making drill music now. They could always rap.
Cac? I'm in my avi and I have videos shouting out the coli ON MY YOUTUBE AND MY IG. I was a semi known underground rapper in the 00s, goofy. White people from that scene HATE me.

How ya'll most iconic song about killing gay people?

Is this the heights of Jamaican culture?

I would hope not.

For your sake.

Also Fela Kuti > Bob Marley

And I think afrobeat (also influenced by aframs) is about to overtake reggae in global appeal.

that should be the standard for GOAT tier songs :gucci:

are you a Gay or a Gay lover/defender?:hhh:

the actual RAPPING.
That's wrong. Count Machuki got TOASTING from Afram radio DJs...in the 40s.
Plus brehs were rapping before NYC had a "Jamaican Community"

NO JAMAICANS HERE, RAPPING SYNCOPATED OVER A BEAT. (1968)
:ohhh:

This is from the 40s.
KRS, BamBatty, and Flash created a FALSE narrative.

AA culture influences Jamaican culture A LOT more than the other way around.
ROCKsteady?
SKA?
Reggae? Would not exist without Jazz, Blues, Rock, R&B. That's not cap, that's facts.

nobody gives a fukk bout all that cac ethnography u pushin. i don’t care if nikkas was spittin hot 16s in 16th century france. that’s not where the influence comes from.

rapping is inspired by toasting. that wasn’t goin on in america at the time hip hop was developed in NYC. aa are great, jamaicans are great. hatians are great.

rock and roll comes from down south. hip-hop is the son of rock.

Hip hop is the son of urban Dj funk and disco culture your just pulling shyt out of your ass. Americans also "Toast". You probably never heard of the term, and think its some special thing. Americans hve been jive talking before anyone was toasting
now move from me with all your evil talk, cac. we not ever gonna agree
Its not even about "agreeing" perse. You have your own 'version" of hip hop history- one spread in misinformation
.
