I was talking to a friend who is going to visit Afghanistan for a rural development project in a few months. The on-site project partners are all Afghanis. Paradoxically, they've been saying that shyt has gotten way better since the Taliban took control because most of the Taliban were sick of being stuck out in the sticks for the last 20 years so they've moved into the cities and folk in the countryside can finally breathe.
