Even if the brawl never happened, Punk was going to have to drop the belt on the next dynamite anyways due to the injury in the Moxley match and needing several months off for surgery/rehab. It's the one silver lining with the brawl since TK was able to kick the can on the Punk decision as opposed to having to address Punk's contract ASAP.

AEWs run from the beginning of Dynamite to the beginning of Covid was great and fresh. It's been hit and miss ever since, it'll be good for 3 months and get cold for a few months. Their PPVs are almost always good but the shows been mostly boring for a few months. The Acclaimed and their 2 feuds has been the only good story the last few months.

That's how TNA was also. Everyone acts like Bischoff and Hogan ran it into the ground, but the 2 years before they got there was very hit and miss also.
