These foolies still have Cawdy in the game last we heard. Not a good look if we're hoping it's up to date Day 1I have no clue how the process of making games work so I won’t judge but seems to me like they should’ve just dropped whatever they had in 2021 to at least have a game out there and been working on part 2. Especially with the 2.5 year gap between 2k20 and 2k22.
Hopefully they using this time to put most if not the whole roster in. Last I checked they said the roster gone barely be 50 people
I wonder if they gone have all current titles in the game
This game ain't even taking long to develop in the grand scheme, TK and the idiots over there just started chirping about way too early and too damn much. They should have just announced it and chilled until it was in QA.
Honestly, only weirdos want to play a No Mercy palette swap in 2023
Yeah my understanding is it takes several years to develop a game from the ground up. Even if it annoys me that it's taking this long, rather them not rush it thru because if they rush it thru it's guaranteed to be shyt and piss me off even more.I don't know anything about game making either, but the gaming people on Reddit were saying the same thing. They said it was never realistic for them to release the game early 2023 based on when it was announced.
IIRC, Yukes hated that engine in the end. I think they wanted to create a new engine a few times, but THQ and later 2K wouldn't let them.I thought the whole point is using Yukes is they could use that engine they've had for years? That's why 2k20 was garbage because that 2k19 engine was gone and they had to rewrite it in a year which lead to all the glitches and such. I just knew this game was based off the 2k19 engine to help the save time and money. We need AEW All Access: Fight Forever. I want to see how the fukk we got here.
Using a 5+ year old engine (based on when they would have had to start developing it before putting it in a game) would not be very wise.I thought the whole point is using Yukes is they could use that engine they've had for years? Based on what? Engines stay around for years in gaming. Call of Duty still had Doom code from 1993 in it until a few years ago. The Yukes Engine is from the ps2 era. What are you basing this on?Using a 5+ year old engine (based on when they would have had to start developing it before putting it in a game) would not be very wise.
Allegedly, Yuke's was making a brand new engine when they were wrapping up '13 (I think THQ gave them the okay on the new engine), but THQ going bankrupt to later working for Take-Two to which the latter made them scrap the engine. You also gotta remember when the partnership between Yuke's and 2K ended, they lost access to their own engine as 2K own the engine.IIRC, Yukes hated that engine in the end. I think they wanted to create a new engine a few times, but THQ and later 2K wouldn't let them.

He's just a hands off adviser. I don't think they developed a new engine for this because Khan was hesistant to even committ to Yukes for more than one game. This almost seems like a trial run. They brought in the guy who was in charge of the N64 games to lead these games. I always thought that they developed a new engine that plays like updated No Mercy.

I've seen nothing of it being a new engine. I doubt it.He's not a "hands off advisor," he's the director. I can't find any official info on if this is a new engine or not.
