I think they should release it right after the Double or Nothing PPV when there is more attention on the company because of the PPV. Use the approximately next 3 months to build the hype.
Grassroots the hell out of this to get as many people trying out the game before its released so they can see how much fun it hopefully is. For a lot of people, they are going to trust the reviews and opinions of people they know and trust more than they will some website.
Since the game is supposed to be more arcade and just pick up the controller and play type game, have consoles on hand at all the live events (including house shows, dark tapings, ROH shows, etc.) for people to be able to demo the game.
Let fans play against the wrestlers at meet and greets or at the live events before the taping starts. Think of how awesome of a grassroots promotional opportunity it would be for AEW to send a fan home able to talk glowingly about how they got to play the video game against Kenny Omega, Britt Baker, Adam Cole, Orange Cassidy, etc. I'm not one that really cares to meet celebrities by any means, but I'd mark the fukk out if I got to play against one of my favorite wrestlers.
Send wrestlers out to GameStops and other stores that sell video games in the city they are working on TV taping days and let fans play against wrestlers at the stores. When the wrestlers are home, do the same thing for them back home once or twice prior to release.
Release preview demos to the consoles for the people to download at home.
