Wrestling is just damn near impossible to do as a game. There's this weird disconnect in trying to make the game "realistic" but also treating it basically like a fighting game. To me a more interesting game would be if you had to actually work a match and cooperate with an opponent to have a good match. That's something we haven't seen done before.

its almost 100% gotta be an indie release. I highly doubt it’s gonna be a big AAA game.

As you can have a real wrasslin workrate based match on thr aki engine. Especially if they have an iron man setup like no mercy which was the goat match setting in p2p verses match.

I played all those games back in the day....from WCW vs NWO World Tour to No Mercy, and they were great at the time. But it's all nostalgia. Them shyts do not hold up. It's time to move on.

Theres no way an AEW game can be fully ready for at least another year with all of the stuff itll probably have in it. But who knows? Maybe they have a way bigger team than I thought working on it so itll be ready by All Out?

I dont mind either but if it has the behavioral AI of Fire Pro or better yet King Of Colosseum and itll be leaps and bounds better than anything Yukes put out in decades

This is very true. I'm hoping next gen brings that merger of great systems from the past(logic,grapple systems) with newer improvements of such things as contextual animations and selling. 2k19 has a lot of good stuff under the hood that never gets talked about. No reason why we can't put the whole package together at this point without the games having to be sprite based or having bad ps2 hair mechanics in 2021. It's time
