I deleted this shyt after one match. The other match froze up and after 45 seconds I hit delete game from my PS5.

They spent three years trying to make a 25 year old game. How did they think that was going to work? No mercy was great for its time but I don’t want a wrestling game with no entrances, no voice dialog, no universe mode and a story mode that looks like it was made in the late 80’s.
Instead of copying no mercy they should have copied the mdikkie games and just improved the gameplay and graphics. Its a shame because AEW deserved a better game than this and it will be a long time before they get another one
Game is alright, but I'm bored with it. I'll probably delete it soon.

People romanticize No Mercy because of nostalgia, but you really see how limited it is compared to today's wrestling games. When the argument in favor of it is about how you much you can mod it on the pc, then you really don't have a good argument. The problem with trying to make it a sim version like 2k, is that it would've just felt like a cheap 2k knockoff. That's why it should've been more like HCTP, since there's no other game like it currently on the market.
I knew I wouldn't like it when the create a wrestler was limited to what you could do.
That was my main problem, too. I could overlook the bad graphics, the bugs, & the unnecessary minigames; but a modern wrestling game without a decent creation suite isn't even worth the trip to GameStop.
I could go back and dig up my posts about this game but why. I was right all the way up until now but somebody in here after the delay told me Ol' Aubrey Ed was on the case and knows what the fukk she's doing bc she made a mini game for a college project or w.e. and worked on the AEW app
