It’s like on one side you have people so geeked at the idea of Vince falling that they start speaking in delusions, and on the other side you have dudes with WWE’s dikk so far down their throat that they want AEW to straight up fail. It’s insane


AEW is a dope alternative for the cats tired of the bullshyt WWE pedals, but they have a long way to go before they’re actually competing with the powers that be. Y’all get a lil overzealous sometimes

I don’t even check the ratings thread, all I care about is being entertained. I haven’t watched NXT tv regularly since Andrade was champion. I catch an episode or two once in awhile and the Takeovers.

been saying from jump that they had the blueprint and weren't going anywhere.

they won over the fans and made themselves the cool promotion, long before they even had their first PPV, let alone the debut of dynamite.

plenty of promotions have outclassed the WWE in quality within the past 20 years, but have nothing to show for it.

here comes AEW, beating NXT in ratings and not even having the better show. beating a WWE show while not even having a superior product is unheard of. I mean, even WCW had to have a WAY better product in order to surpass the WWE.

yea. NXT isn't the WWE's flagship, but still.
also, I think AEW's ratings would be higher going up against raw or smackdown. im not saying that they would defeat those shows just yet, but they wouldn't have to split their audience like they do with NXT.

I haven’t watched NXT regularly since Daniel Bryan was losing soda drinking contests


I catch an episode every now and then but it’s presentation isn’t visually appealing to me personally so I rather catch something else.

That’s not even me shytting on NXT, I just genuinely can’t compare the products because I’m really not tapped in with em like that. I watched this past weeks show and it was good for the most part but I have no desire to check back in next week

I'd respect AEW more if they were growing the pie and creating new fans.

The truth is it is NXT that's taking it to AEW. AEW is punching down.

AEW will never air against RAW.

its not like Raw's ratings are THAT much better.

plus, they wouldn't have to split the audience like they do with NXT. they would def be pulling better ratings on Mondays rather than Wednesdays.

the WWE would stack the f*ck out of raw's roster if this happened tho.

WWE convinced an entire generation of fans that having any sort of creative control is BAD and everyone should shut and do as told. Any sniff of another WCW/TNA showing up is immediately shut down and downplayed.

But with that said, AEW’s success shouldn’t be gauged on their numbers against Raw. Raw is expected to win.. As long as AEW is doing its thing, growing at its own rate and putting out a product that keeps TNT happy, it’s a win.

Ain't nobody on here really wishing AEW would close. Most people seem to think if you ain't praising everything they do you want the place to close though for some reason, & because of how weird people are about AEW you get people just cracking off jokes for the easy reactions.
