I'm defensive because it's kind of a stupid argument and people on this site bring up "Europe" for whaetver reason. Nothing personal though. People who like the NBA here have been buying jerseys since forever, people who don't care about the NBA are not gonna start buying jerseys because they will have sleeves. Only NBA fans are gonna buy jerseys, and they've already been doing that. How many people in Europe are buying hockey, baseball or NFL jerseys?

What if a player gets an endorsement deal with Pepsi but his team is sponsored by Coca Cola...wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? :maxb:

Even worse, what if a business savy player decides to get his Shark Tank on and be a venture capitalist for an upstart company that produces a product that is in competition with a major corporation...that just so happen to be sponsoring the player's team...what will a player do? :sadmike:

...Or, what if a team is sponsored by Foot Locker, and it comes to a players' attention that Foot Locker was spawned
from Woolworth, who didn't want black folks to come into their stores in their heyday and the player decides he doesn't
want to play for them?

The D (where it's so cold)
NBA is a forward thinking league, good move.
The NBA being on IG or twitter is forward thinking, this to me is just greed. The game or the players or the fans will not benefit from this (well the players will because of revenue sharing). I would rather the court have ads than the jerseys, it just seems tacky to me.

If they keep them small and don't have more than two ads, It wouldn't bother me.

It's not like I'm gonna stop watching basketball cause they got the Burger King on their chest.
