And for Broner having "bad defense"...again, Taylor only landed 28% of his punches, missing 474 of his punches:sas2:

I like Broner's willingness to fight anyone. However, his team has to protect him from himself. He really still needs to develop before fighting guys like Matthysse & Maidana. I think putting him in with a guy that is aggressive, but not necessarily on the same tier as those 2 guys is the step in the right direction. Yall have to remember his team fell into the hype & really tried to fast track this guy into becoming this PPV fighter way before he was ready.

yea broner got heart:salute:

his team is like:whoa: "slow down bruh"

I honestly think they feel like another lost for broner would set him back even more.

28% is the highest connect rate for an opponent on Adrien Broner. His defense is far from bad or weak. He just has the tendency to get caught clean and you only need 1 punch to change or win a fight

Broner's power is fine. He's just facing better fighters. The reality of it is when you face top tier opponents, your KO percentage goes down. You aren't gonna go around knocking out world class fighters. Guys like Paulie (until recently) & Marcos don't get knocked out. Hell even Molina & Taylor have never been knocked out.
Ive stated this countless times, but it doesn't fit people's narratives.

yep just look at manny he hasn't a KO in 5 years.

I believe Broner is unfairly criticized because doesn't develop at the rate they feel he should develop. "He doesn't do this, he doesn't do that." They don't understand that he has had over 300 amateur fights. If you fought a certain way your entire life, you just can't undo that overnight. It takes time. He was developing really well until being thrown into 147. His name is so big & he gets so many views, there a certain demand for fights I don't feel he's ready for just yet.

Its possible. But it's also possible that you're underestimating Broner's chin as well

The problem with Broner at the higher weights isn't his lack of power. It's his lack of activity.

He still has power. Even at 147 he still hurt Paulie and Maidana at points in their fights. However, he just wasn't busy enough. At 130/135 he could get away with the low workrate, because he basically could change the fight with one punch (mainly because he was so much bigger than everybody else). At 140/147 he doesn't have those advantages on his side, so he can't keep fighting like he still has one punch power.

The power is still there, but unless he puts his punches together, he's not gonna really hurt anybody at the higher weights

He got hit MANY more times and just as clean and hard throughout the fight.....he only went down twice. As many clean shots Maidana landed on him, he should've been down more. And Marcos was wearing his extremely dangerous illegal MX Gloves in that fight

Matthysse has been down more times in his career though, so it's not like he has an iron chin

Funny how y'all love to ignore the fact that Broner was actually walking down Maidana during the middle rounds as well though, and he was also winning that round in the 2nd gif until he went down again.

But lucas has never been hurt like broner was and resorting to rolling around trying to get his opponent disqualified to escape a beating. Cut it out. For the record i'm rooting for broner. He's from my city. I went to his pro debut. My peoples used to talk to his sister. I'm a fan but i'm also a realist.

Matthysse had his face broken and needed to see a sports psychologist to get over a loss.

He lost to a washed up Zab Judah.

He was dropped twice by a journeyman.

Please stop over rating this dude:mindblown:
