Not the Zab who fought Lucas Matthysse
I forsee adrien getting hit really flush by lucas and hurt real bad. If adrien was more offensive he'd be better his defense isnt good enough for him to do that floyd shyt. He's better being offensive moving forward.

On a side note i'd like to see them fight if zab actually showed up

Me too.

Im still a Zab stan on the low...so much wasted potential in him. He waited til he's washed up to finally wanna get serious and focused:snoop:

The way he beat up on Cory Spinks in St. Louis is always in my "rewatch fight" category

True. But we gotta see. I just feel like if there's no KDs in the fight, Broner's skills (which are better than Matthysse's) will carry him to victory

I agree but if he's not offensive and doenst give lucas shyt to worry about early,he's gonna be there for lucas to land and lucas can and will hurt him. If he cant do molina level damage then he will lose. Yes he's better skilled but he's not focused enough to prevent getting hit with some hard shyt. And he wont clinch unless he's really hurt,he rather stand there with his shaky defense and get tagged

Matthysse doesnt have the best chin himself and his defense is much worse than ABs.....plus he's slow.

AB is gonna land combinations at will on Matthysse and take the fight.

Matthysse gets too much credit on here. Yes, he punches hard...but what else?

An old Zab with a china chin beat him...even after getting badly hurt, Matthysse couldnt finish him. Molina dropped him twice. Alexander beat him. Danny Garcia broke his face and beat him. Matthysse's not as unbeatable as people try to make him seem.

Plus he's a slow starter.

Matthysse's only chance to beat Broner is to drop him at least twice or just KO him. Other than that, he loses:manny:

I dont think he's unbeatable just dont think adrien will be disciplined enough to do it. Zab's experience going into the lucas fight is much greater than adrien's, MUCH GREATER. Alexander is much more disciplined than adrien. And more active. Danny is also more disciplined than adrien. Adrien doesnt take shyt as serious as he needs to abnd that's why'd he'd lose. Although adrien beat dude the other day,i wasnt happy with his performance. Dude can fight, but i feel adrien should of attacked alot more nad not allowed dude to back him up.

I like Broner's willingness to fight anyone. However, his team has to protect him from himself. He really still needs to develop before fighting guys like Matthysse & Maidana. I think putting him in with a guy that is aggressive, but not necessarily on the same tier as those 2 guys is the step in the right direction. Yall have to remember his team fell into the hype & really tried to fast track this guy into becoming this PPV fighter way before he was ready.

He moved up to WW too fast, because paulie was easy pickings, he shouldn't a skipped an entire weight class without first testing himself at 140

Broner needs his power to be an effective fighter, and it just didn't translate at 47, also I think he underestimated maidana and was caught with a big shot, he never recovered from, but the fact he fought through it shows me has made of the stuff necessary to contend, but he's shown zero improvement that's my only concern

Broner's power is fine. He's just facing better fighters. The reality of it is when you face top tier opponents, your KO percentage goes down. You aren't gonna go around knocking out world class fighters. Guys like Paulie (until recently) & Marcos don't get knocked out. Hell even Molina & Taylor have never been knocked out.

Ive stated this countless times, but it doesn't fit people's narratives.

I'm not talking about knock outs tho, 'm talking his ability to control fights, with his style if I can bother guys with his punches, he will get hit a lot, because he's defense is average,

the lil kid in mayweather gym Juan diaz does the shoulder roll better than broner lol

If he can't keep guys off him with his power punches, he'll never compete at 147 unless he develops his skills

he can take a punch, but he gets hit way too much, and when he faces somebody who can put their punches together in bunches he wlll be in a extreme trouble
