What are your thoughts on the westbrook trade?

It might work if Westbrook accepts his role, limits his mistakes, and plays hard on defense. The Lakers will have to transform into a fast-paced, disruptive team with Westbrook/LeBron taking turns driving and causing defensive chaos that AD/Bron/Westbrook can then dive into for easy buckets. Sort of like what Wade/Bron did in Miami.

Problem is that spacing requires AD to play center in that lineup. Maybe you rotate between three main lineups:


AD/Bron with a center and 2 guards. The shyt they're used to from the last two years.

AD/Bron/Westbrook with 2 shooters.

Westbrook with the 2nd unit. A nice disruptive rotation that keeps opponents from ever taking it easy.


It could work. But it all depends on Westbrook playing his role and playing smart. Which is....a lot to ask.

I think they try Gasol to start out the year. As the year progresses then they move AD to the 5. End of the season we want him starting at the 5. However, I think Vogel is at least going to try to play big at first.
